The problem:
A single WinXP workstation in an environment of 10+ XP machines cannot render. The Job submits successfully, but almost immediately fails, generating the following error: 

ERROR: can't create log: //FILE/path/name: No such file or directory

I have seen this problem in the following situations:
a) when there are permission problems on the network resource (i.e source and target directories) b) the source and target file system for the current render is not mounted locally on the render node c) when there are permisson problems on the local RUSH installation directory of etc/ and var/
In this case, none of these problems apply. The same job rendered successfully on another workstation. 

Does anybody have any ideas why this might be happening?
