Hello, I was wondering if it's possible to launch iRush and have a default submit host listed. Instead of clicking "All Jobs" and then finding the render. Sorry if this is in the manuals and I've missed it. regards stefan andersson -- ________________________________________________________________________ - stockholm post production ab - senior pixel money - http://www.stopost.se/ - |

Sorry if this is in the manuals and I've missed it. Hi Stefan, There's a couple of ways. HOTKEYS ------- The best way is to program an irush 'hotkey' so that when you hit that key, say the 'F1' key, it invokes a 'rush -lj' command to list the jobs only on the servers you want. Example: I have two servers 'ontario' and 'tahoe' which are the two job servers I want to view jobs for. So: 1) In the irush menu bar, choose "Hotkeys | Edit" 2) Hit 'New', and fill out the fields: Name: List Jobs Command: rush -lj ontario tahoe Hotkey: F1 Output: Upper:Job 3) Hit "Done". 4) Now you can hit the 'F1' key to show the jobs report only for the named machines 'ontario' and 'tahoe'. Irush will remember this F1 key programming even if you exit out of irush. (The 'Help' button in the 'Edit Hotkey' dialog gives you more info.) Besides programming a function key, you can also invoke the function you programmed from the irush 'Hotkeys' pulldown menu. You can program these to run any commands you want, including launching other applications (like Frame Cycler, or file browsers) IRUSH COMMAND LINE ------------------ Another way to get irush to view only the jobs on particular machines; you can either invoke irush with the hostnames (each suffixed by '.0'): irush ontario.0 tahoe.0 ..when irush comes up, if you hit the 'Jobs' button, you'll see only the jobs on hosts 'ontario' and 'tahoe'. (The .0 suffix is needed for irush to think they're jobids.) JOBID WINDOW ------------ With irush open, you can just type the names of the servers (like the above) in the "Jobid:" input field directly. When you hit the 'Jobs' button, it will list the jobs on those servers. eg: Jobid: ontario.0 tahoe.0 ..then hit 'Jobs'. -- Greg Ercolano, erco@(email surpressed) Rush Render Queue, http://seriss.com/rush/ Tel: (Tel# suppressed) Cel: (Tel# suppressed) Fax: (Tel# suppressed) |
