Has anyone seen this sort of weirdness before?

So rush was just installed on my windows machine, and for some reason, none of the input fields in the submit scripts, irush, etc. will accept character input. When typing into any field, sometimes you'll get a control character, and most of the time nothing at all.

This is only happening in rush (i.e. you can type into notepad or whatever else w/ no problem), so I assume it's got something to do with the gui library rush is based on. (We've freshly installed ActiveState perl - but I'm not sure if the gui comes from there, or something in the rush distribution.)

My advice: do a cold reboot!

And if there's any KVM switchboxes in the mix, reboot
	that as well.

I'm not sure what that would be, and never heard of it.
I'd be curious to know if anyone else has run into this.

(BTW, he's running 102.42a, which has been out since July '05,
and is what many people are running.)

The fact it only does it with the Rush programs does make it
sound like it's specific to the underlying GUI toolkit library (FLTK).

Anything unusual about this box? ie. some latest service pack,
or KVM switchbox, long or somehow weird keyboard/mouse config
	or cable extenders, etc?

Nope - keyboard goes straight into the back of the machine. We've tried it with several different keyboards, too. (Yeah, pointless, seeing as all the other apps seem to get correct input - but you never know.)

Also tried reinstalling both rush & perl, and rebooting a bunch of times. No love.

Might be corrupted code pages, or maybe language localizations,
	or something like that.

I'm working with you offline on this.

Apparently you could replicate with all of FLTK's default test programs
	too, not just rush/FLTK apps.

I'm going to guess it's something like a busted code page in the OS
that only FLTK is exposing.. hard to say.
