So far this is isolated to a single computer. I have yet to try the usual troubleshooting steps of re-installing Rush and After Effects but I thought I would post the log anyways. It seems that Rush is submitting the command to render a certain frame (in this case frame 9) but AE is rendering the next frame (frame 10). This results in Rush reporting the frame is done when actually the next frame was rendered; leaving frames missing from the sequence. Any ideas? --------------- Rush 102.42a7 -------------- -- Host: ****** -- Pid: 3172 -- Title: qr001_comp_hdtv -- Jobid: ***** -- Frame: 0009 -- Tries: 1 -- Owner: ntrush (1025/20) -- RunningAs: **** -- Priority: 100 -- Nice: 10 -- Tmpdir: C:/TEMP/.RUSH_TMP.9 -- LogFile: *****/qr001_comp_245.aep.log/0009 -- Command: perl ******/submit-afterfx.pl -render - ****/qr001_comp_245.aep qr001_comp_hdtv - 1 0 5 Fail 0 off -- Started: Mon Mar 05 18:54:29 2007 -------------------------------------------- SCENEPATH: ******/qr001_comp_245.aep COMP: qr001_comp_hdtv OUTPUTDIR: - AEVERSION: - RENDERFLAGS: BATCHFRAMES: 1 (9-9) RETRIES: 5 (Fail after 5 retries) PATH: C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe After Effects 7.0/Support Files;c:\rush/bin;C:\Program Files\Alias\Maya7.0\bin;C:\Perl\bin\;C:\Program Files\Shake-v2.50.0810;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\AGL;C:\Program Files\backburner 2\;C:\Program Files\Silicon Grail\Chalice2.0\bin;C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTSystem\;c:\rush\bin Executing: aerender -project "****/qr001_comp_245.aep" -comp "qr001_comp_hdtv" -s 9 -e 9 PROGRESS: 3/5/2007 6:55:02 PM: Starting composition qr001_comp_hdtv . I'm not a great expert on AE, but this sounds familiar. Rush is passing '-s 9 -e 9' to aerender, so the fact AE is writing out frame 10 instead sounds like there's a 1 frame offset in the AEP project. Make sure your AEP file's 'project settings' (File -> Project Settings) has: Start numbering frames at: 0 IIRC, if it's set to anything other than '0', AE applies that as an offset to the frame number embedded in the rendered frame's filenames. Sounds like yours is set to '1', making all the frame's rendered filenames offset by +1. -- Greg Ercolano, erco@(email surpressed) Rush Render Queue, http://seriss.com/rush/ Tel: (Tel# suppressed) Fax: (Tel# suppressed) Cel: (Tel# suppressed) |

Thanks Greg! Great -- in that case I'll update the Afterfx 'Issues' page <http://www.seriss.com/rush-current/issues-afterfx-6.5/index.html> to cover this, as I know this has come up before. -- Greg Ercolano, erco@(email surpressed) Rush Render Queue, http://seriss.com/rush/ Tel: (Tel# suppressed) Fax: (Tel# suppressed) Cel: (Tel# suppressed) |
