I can't figure this out. I'm submitting jobs with the general maya
script to be rendered with mrstandalone. works fine, except the
images are always saved to the root of the maya project directory, no
matter what I enter in the Image Directory field of the submit
script. Any ideas?

    Sounds like this problem:

In short, try setting the Maya Flags: field to:

	Maya Flags: -exportPathNames aaaaaaaaaa

..which forces maya to use absolute pathnames for the image directory.
